Postcards from Elsewhere
Curated inspiration, travel insight, and your monthly reminder that life is meant to be experienced.
Why Some Places Change You
Have you ever returned home from a trip and felt somehow different, even if you couldn’t explain why?
I don’t think it’s always the famous landmarks or bucket-list experiences that change us.
More often, it’s the unexpected moments: a conversation with a stranger, a sunset that makes you pause, or a morning spent wandering without an agenda.
Travel has a way of pulling us out of our routines and reminding us that there are countless ways to live, think, and experience the world. Sometimes the biggest souvenir we bring home isn’t something we bought—it’s a new perspective.
As I settle into life in Portugal, I’m continually reminded that meaningful travel isn’t about checking places off a list. It’s about discovering pieces of yourself you didn’t know were waiting to be found.
What place has changed you the most? I’d love to hear your story.
Why Women Need More "Main Character" Trips
Somewhere between responsibilities, routines, and constantly taking care of everyone else…
Many women quietly stop feeling like the main character in their own lives.
Not in a dramatic way.
Just slowly.

🎵 On Repeat This Month:
Presencia
by Danit
One song I’ve had on repeat lately is Presencia by Danit. The title itself means “Presence”, and throughout the song you’ll hear words like presencia (presence), amor (love), gratitud (gratitude), and vida (life). Even without understanding every lyric, the music carries a gentle reminder to slow down and fully inhabit the moment you’re in.
As I continue building Mystical Traveling while settling into life in Portugal, this message feels especially meaningful. Like many entrepreneurs, it’s easy to focus on the next goal, the next booking, or the next milestone. This song reminds me that growth isn’t only about where we’re going, it’s also about appreciating where we are today. The friendships being formed, the experiences we’re collecting, the lessons we’re learning, and the simple joy of living a life we’ve worked hard to create.
For me, Presencia is a reminder that consistency and gratitude can coexist. We can keep moving toward our dreams while still pausing to enjoy the journey. After all, the moments we rush through today often become the memories we treasure tomorrow.
Quote of the Month
"Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer" (Anonymous)
I’ve always loved this quote because it reminds me that some of life’s greatest returns aren’t measured in dollars. Travel enriches us through new perspectives, unexpected connections, unforgettable experiences, and stories that stay with us long after we’ve returned home.
Looking back, some of my most treasured memories aren’t things I purchased; they’re moments. Watching the sunset over a new city, sharing a meal with locals, exploring a hidden corner of the world, or realizing that life can be lived differently than we imagined. Those experiences continue to shape who we are, making us richer in ways no possession ever could.
